Two and a Half Months

Let's see if I can catch everyone up in one blog....

Aubrey's Birthday
Aubrey and I made cupcakes the night before her 2nd birthday. She had a great time cooking with me and feeling all grown up!She took them to daycare the next day and shared them with her friends. We didn't really have a party. Mom and Heather were here to watch Aub open presents!

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was a blur. For some reason, I don't even have pictures from Thanksgiving day??We got up early that morning and went straight to Aunt Jo's in Florida. It is about a 4 hour drive! Aunt Jo gave us an old bed has been in our family for over 100 years! Thanks Aunt Jo! We had a short but great visit there and then went to my dad and grandmother's house about 45 minutes from Aunt Jo's. We had another short but great visit and left for the 4 hour trip back to Birmingham. Scott's brother Ben and his family, Tammy, Alex, and Liam came to the house Friday. It was great to visit! Aubs and Alex had a blast playing with each other. I cooked Thanksgiving food for Saturday. Scott's parents came Saturday and spent the night.

Thanksgiving to December 19th
I painted a few pictures, went to a few ballgames, and did a lot of Christmas shopping! I also bought Aubrey two fish! Their names WERE Tiger and Eagle. Well, Eagle went "back to Wal-mart to live with his friends" in less than a week. Eagle hung on a bit longer, but in the end, missed his friends at Walmart :-) That is the story we told Aubrey! She is very cute when we go to Walmart and visit the fish. She has to look for Tiger and Eagle and say hey!

Christmas
Christmas was great. Aubrey, Mom and I went to visit Aunt Jo and family in Ponce de Leon. We went for a walk around the Lake Yard to see all of the Christmas lights! Aubrey loved it at Aunt Jo's. She chased chickens and fed the goats (she called them cows!) She got to see Billdabo, aka my cousin BillBeau.

Aub and I dropped Nana off at home and came back home. We were home for Christmas Eve and Christmas day! Aub was excited about Santa Claus. It was really the first time she had any ideas about Christmas and IT WAS GREAT! Then, on the 26th, we packed up and headed to Red Level for 5 days. We visited with Shannon, Amanda, Scott's grandma Lois, Scott's parents and Bruce, Mom and Mark, Jerry and Teresa, and the Boggans. WE DID A LOT OF VISITING!! Aubrey started calling Scott's mom, Buma. It is her version of grandma. Buma gave Aubrey lots of butterscotch!

New Year's
Scott and I left on New Year's Eve for Tampa. We were tired after the 8 hour trip. We went out to eat a couple of times, but were really there for the Auburn game! WAR EAGLE! We had a great time cheering for the Tigers! It was a great atmosphere and an exciting game! I think Scott has decided we need season tickets next year :-)

Last night
We have a basketball tournament all week. Which means there will not be any blogs until at least Sunday! I cooked gumbo and roasted a chicken last night for the hospitality room!

Ice Cream

Aubrey was a big girl yesterday and turned her toy in at Chick-fil-A for an ice cream cone. She LOVED it. She tried to share with me! Mommy was her best friend because I knew about the ice cream cone :-)

We have had a relaxing and uneventful weekend. Here are a few random pictures. Aubrey was so proud to have on mommy's jacket. We got some new bath letters today. She loves them so much that she still wants to play with them right now! BTW...her name is misspelled because she took the E!

We're off to See the Wizard......

We are not oficially going trick-or-treating tonight, but we are going to go to Chris and Heather's.

We have had a lazy day.

I tried to get some pictures, but she kept running from me. These were the best that I could get for now.

THE FLU :-(

We went to the doctor today. Aubrey was supposed to make this face for the doctor, but of course she didn't and we had to hold her down.

She has the flu. YUCK! She seems to be feeling pretty good. She felt well enough to play in my shoes. She also found time to play with my shone (or phone if you can say your p's).

We haven't really done much. Dora and Boots went to the animal park, the drum parade, and to see Boots' daddy at the amusement park, Diego saved the red-eyed tree frogs, the Wonder Pets saved the baby duckling (Ming Ming got stuck on the roof), and Joe and Blue played Blue's Clues to see what Blue heard. **SPOILER ALERT** It was a thunderstorm.

Aubrey says, "Goodnight and she loves everyone!"

Ballgames & Burgers

I missed posting yesterday. We had to go to Anniston for a football game. It was my first cool game of the season. I am loving the fall weather. The picture is of one of my cheerleaders goofing off while we were waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the bus. (Can you tell we waited a while for the bus??). I have a great group of girls this year. I am having them over for a sleep over in a couple of weeks. I hope I am not crazy having 17 teenage girls in my house.

I got up this morning and went to Kohls. Aubrey got 5 new outfits and 2 new pairs of pajamas. This is a picture of her in her new penguin jammies. We ate lunch at KFC and then watched the Alabama/Tennessee game. It was almost a GREAT afternoon.

We grilled hamburgers and brats on the deck. It was a little cool, but the view was nice. Aubrey played with her grandma and grandpa in the backyard.

Now, Scott is yelling at the TV about the LSU/Auburn game. Hopefully, it will be a better game than last week. WAR EAGLE!

"Petty" Toes

Thursday, October, 22

Nothing too exciting today. Got home about 5:15. Aubrey ate some SunChips on the way home and had a really cheesy face. When I tried to take her picture, she ran from me. So, the best I could do was a picture of her running away :-)

Scott cooked chicken alfredo for dinner. Then, Aubrey got a bath. This is her saying, "cheese", for the camera.

As we were walking down the stairs, she wanted me to take a picture of her "petty" toes. (We are still working on the 'r' sounds) But, she kept curling them up. Oh well. It made her happy.

We are now watching Survivor. I am dreading the football game tomorrow night. It is supposed to rain all night. We have had so many rainy games this year...YUCK. But, enough whining.

Goodnight. Love to all.

First Blog

THE GOODWIN'S

I am excited to be blogging for the first time. I am hoping that it becomes a regular occurance!

Scott, Aubrey and I went to eat at Mt. Fuji tonight. It is a Japanese place similar to Kobe. The food was great. Aubrey was a little scared by the fire (or as she says, "hots"). Noodles were her favorite followed closely by "chichen".

I have realized that if I am going to start blogging, then I am going to have to start taking more pictures to go along. The pictures that I have are the ones from Chris and Heather Jeffcoat's wedding this past weekend. It was the best wedding. We had tons of fun and got to catch up with some good friends.

Scott's parents are coming to visit on Friday.

Love to all. More to come soon.
