Let's see if I can catch everyone up in one blog....
Aubrey's Birthday
Aubrey and I made cupcakes the night before her 2nd birthday. She had a great time cooking with me and feeling all grown up!She took them to daycare the next day and shared them with her friends. We didn't really have a party. Mom and Heather were here to watch Aub open presents!
Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a blur. For some reason, I don't even have pictures from Thanksgiving day??We got up early that morning and went straight to Aunt Jo's in Florida. It is about a 4 hour drive! Aunt Jo gave us an old bed has been in our family for over 100 years! Thanks Aunt Jo! We had a short but great visit there and then went to my dad and grandmother's house about 45 minutes from Aunt Jo's. We had another short but great visit and left for the 4 hour trip back to Birmingham. Scott's brother Ben and his family, Tammy, Alex, and Liam came to the house Friday. It was great to visit! Aubs and Alex had a blast playing with each other. I cooked Thanksgiving food for Saturday. Scott's parents came Saturday and spent the night.
Thanksgiving to December 19th

I painted a few pictures, went to a few ballgames, and did a lot of Christmas shopping! I also bought Aubrey two fish! Their names WERE Tiger and Eagle. Well, Eagle went "back to Wal-mart to live with his friends" in less than a week. Eagle hung on a bit longer, but in the end, missed his friends at Walmart :-) That is the story we told Aubrey! She is very cute when we go to Walmart and visit the fish. She has to look for Tiger and Eagle and say hey!
Christmas
Christmas was great. Aubrey, Mom and I went to visit Aunt Jo and family in Ponce de Leon. We went for a walk around the Lake Yard to see all of the Christmas lights! Aubrey loved it at Aunt Jo's. She chased chickens and fed the goats (she called them cows!) She got to see Billdabo, aka my cousin BillBeau.

Aub and I dropped Nana off at home and came back home. We were home for Christmas Eve and Christmas day! Aub was excited about Santa Claus. It was really the first time she had any ideas about Christmas and IT WAS GREAT! Then, on the 26th, we packed up and headed to Red Level for 5 days. We visited with Shannon, Amanda, Scott's grandma Lois, Scott's parents and Bruce, Mom and Mark, Jerry and Teresa, and the Boggans. WE DID A LOT OF VISITING!! Aubrey started calling Scott's mom, Buma. It is her version of grandma. Buma gave Aubrey lots of butterscotch!
New Year's

Scott and I left on New Year's Eve for Tampa. We were tired after the 8 hour trip. We went out to eat a couple of times, but were really there for the Auburn game! WAR EAGLE! We had a great time cheering for the Tigers! It was a great atmosphere and an exciting game! I think Scott has decided we need season tickets next year :-)
Last night

We have a basketball tournament all week. Which means there will not be any blogs until at least Sunday! I cooked gumbo and roasted a chicken last night for the hospitality room!
I have missed you! That gumbo looked awesome! You guys need to head out here to TX this summer to stay with us, Killer and Karma too! :)
ReplyDeleteCan we leave Killer and Karma at home? Traveling with Killer is like torture!
ReplyDeleteI would love to come visit!
